About Dr. Ross

Synthia Ross, DO, is a board certified anesthesiologist who trained at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, CA and the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, WA. She also spent five years on active duty in the United States Navy as a Flight Surgeon which allowed her to travel around the world and gain exposure to many different healing and treatment modalities. Dr. Ross completed medical acupuncture training through both the Helms Medical Institute at UCLA and at Harvard University. She is also a Reiki Master, Angel Therapy Practitioner® certified by Doreen Virtue, PhD, and Soul Therapy Practitioner. Dr. Ross believes that true healing includes the mind, body, and spirit and to ignore any of these does a disservice to her patients. With this in mind, she offers a unique approach to healing.

Dr. Ross is pleased to provide consultation, and if appropriate, a range of treatments to her patients. By combining acupuncture, OMT (Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy) techniques of muscle energy and myofascial release, and Reiki. She has a unique and effective approach to aid in treating chronic and acute pain problems, pregnancy related issues, and other illnesses including:
Headaches/Migraines, Back Pain, Joint Pain, Neuralgia/Shingles, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Trauma, Post-Operative Pain, Soft Tissue Injury, Burns, TMJ, PMS, Endometriosis, Nausea/Hyperemesis, Versions for Breech Presentations, Respiratory Infections, Sinusitis
While visiting the office, you may be greeted by Ace, the Newfoundland pictured above. Ace’s full name is Birchbark’s Rickenbacker, CGC, TDI, meaning he is a Canine Good Citizen registered with the AKC, and certified therapy dog having completed training with Therapy Dogs International. He often accompanies Dr. Ross to the office and enjoys meeting everyone who stops by.
Dr. Ross is an active volunteer with several animal rescue agencies and frequently provides foster care for dogs awaiting their new families in addition to providing a permanent home to several dogs and cats herself. She is also an animal communicator, able to work with animals telepathically and has taken several workshops with Amelia Kinkade and Danielle MacKinnon. If you have pets, or are considering one, Dr. Ross can also work with you and your pet to see if there are techniques there that may assist in your healing process.
